Virtual Pajama Party

This online event for kids aged 8–12 and their families will focus on Sylvia & Aki , an inspiring book based on a true story. [You can purchase it at Eagle Harbor Books ). The program will feature civil-rights activist and title character Sylvia Mendez, and acclaimed author Winifred Conkling.

We will focus on themes of fairness, friendship, civil rights, and persisting through adversity.
Participants will read the book Sylvia & Aki  in advance.
Sylvia Mendez and Winifred Conkling will participate live during the pajama party, reading from the book and answering questions.
Hands-on activities will be provided in advance.
