Ben Blount, Kadin Henningsen, and Kitty Koppelman–these printmakers don’t just think it, they print it.

Through their print work, each of these artists expresses love of community and a vision for a more just world. How can we speak up and speak out? How can we join together without coming apart? Each artist will share from their body of work and take questions afterward.

Catherine Alice Michaelis – Moderator

Catherine Alice Michaelis is the Associate Director of the Cynthia Sears Artist’s Books Collection. She has been making artist’s books under the imprint of May Day Press for 30 years.

Kadin Henningsen

Kadin Henningsen is the owner of Meanwhile…Letterpress, a trans owned letterpress collaborate resisting erasure through the power of print. He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where he studies nineteenth-century American literature, print culture, and transgender studies.

Kitty Koppelman

Kitty Koppelman is a self-taught print artists working in Olympia. She combines linocut images and letterpress words to convey optimistic, left-leaning ideas.

Ben Blount

Ben Blount is a Detroit born letterpress printer that presses ideas onto paper.
