Create a personal portrait that honors a family member or friend and bring it to life with imagery from a range of possible media including paint, collage, colored pencils or other materials that you have at hand.
Exploring imagery, words and phrases that describe the personality, qualities, and stories around subjects’ lives will be “visualized” through words, drawing pictures, playing with color and texture and composition.
Workshop led by Michelle Kumata, whose work is currently featured in the group exhibition Breathe.
