With the exciting announcement from Governor Jay Inslee’s office that the Northwest Region has been moved to Phase 2, we’re thrilled to announce that BIMA will be open daily 10am-5pm starting Friday, February 19.
We cannot wait to welcome you back into the galleries to explore our lineup of all-new exhibitions throughout the museum:
A group exhibition inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a focus on social justice and human rights.
Paul Rucker: FOREVER
Thirteen new works in BIMA’s Permanent Art Collection from Rucker’s FOREVER series honoring civil rights martyrs.

Featuring works developed over the past two years during Trowbridge’s Creative

BIMA is located in the Island Gateway complex which has accessible parking spaces on Ravine Lane. There is a flat surface entering the courtyard, which leads into the museum. Parking is also available in the underground garage. Take the elevator to First Floor Rear (1R) during museum hours for access through the Community Gallery to the Auditorium, Bistro and Museum.
All of the Museum is accessible by ramps and elevators. If someone in your party needs a wheelchair to enjoy the museum, please ask to borrow a loaner one at the reception desk.View less
