In business since 1995, Jeffrey Moose Gallery was opened in Seattle’s Rainier Square not long after the closing of cooperative Net Contents Gallery on Bainbridge Island, also co-founded by Mr. Moose. The gallery has worked to show art in celebration of the natural world, focusing on paintings, prints, sculpture in wood, ceramic, steel and glass. Contemporary indigenous art is prominently featured with works by Northwest Native artists and Australian Aboriginal artists contrasted with unusual local minority talents who work in both representational and abstract styles. Photographs and portraits of musicians reflect Mr. Moose’s secondary identity as a drummer. Trained as a fine art litho printer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Mr. Moose lends his expertise to the service end of the operation; the gallery is proud to offer custom framing, fine art conservation and some restoration services. These services are used by professional artists, local collectors and the Bainbridge Museum of Art.
