Wake up to delightful nature sounds and picture-perfect views of Mt. Rainier and the Puget Sound at this dog-friendly home! You’ll be surrounded by Mother Nature including eagles, osprey, sea lions, otters, and the occasional whale, and have direct access to the beach down a flight of stairs (please note this access is shared with the owner’s main home).

The small, waterfront deck comes equipped with a gas grill, two chairs, and a small table. We know there’s no true vacation without a barbecue! Nestled among giant fir trees, this home offers a cozy and rustic Northwest ambiance including a small wood stove. There is electric heat, fans, a flat screen smart TV, and comfortable furniture (a small sofa, an armchair, a coffee table, and a two-person high table) in the main living area. The kitchenette comes equipped with all the essentials, including a two-burner induction cooktop, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and even a washer/dryer to take care of your laundry needs. Don’t forget to light the gas firepit outside as the stars come out!

When you want to venture out a bit, check out the Nature trail around Nute’s Pond only a ten-minute walk from your doorstep (0.25 miles), Fort Ward waterfront park and woods (1.25 miles), the Historic Lynnwood Movie Theater (3 miles), Lynnwood Center offering casual restaurants, homegrown groceries from local Hey Day Farm (3 miles), Bainbridge town center of Winslow hosts the Bainbridge Island Art Museum featuring Northwest artists, along with numerous art galleries and both casual and fine dining (6 miles), Fay Bainbridge State Park boasting beautiful sandy beach (10 miles), the Japanese Exclusion Memorial honoring the Japanese Americans who were displaced during World War II (3 miles), or Prichard beach, a sandy beach with views across the harbor to the ferry dock and a dog-friendly off-leash area on the east end (3 miles)! The island has more than enough activities to keep you busy, yet you can also have a blast taking the ferry across the stunning Puget Sound to downtown Seattle within 30 minutes for a fee!

Parking notes: There is free parking for 2 vehicles. Two compact vehicles or one larger vehicle only may park in the driveway. This driveway is a little steep but levels out to the cabin. Please do not use the circular driveway. Please do not use the circular driveway and enter only from the west end.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee which covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
