Completely remodeled home in the Fletcher Bay area of Bainbridge Island. This mid-century modern inspired home is centrally located making sight seeing or commuting a breeze. The home features a spacious great room with a gourmet kitchen with new cabinets, counters, appliances and flooring. The living area opens up to a new deck with gas grill, outdoor dining, and loungers. With 2 new full baths, 3 bedrooms, and a private office, this home comfortably accommodates 8.

The space
We are offering the results of a yearlong renovation. This home has never been occupied since completion. We spared no expense with new paint (inside & out), new flooring, tile and carpeting. The gourmet kitchen has been outfitted with new granite countertops, cabinets, lighting, fixtures and high-end appliances. We incorporated a new fireplace into the design to add warmth to the new great room. Both bathrooms have been completely remodeled with new cabinets, countertops, fixtures, lighting, and tile. The hall bathroom has a tub/shower configuration and the master bathroom has a walk-in shower and two sinks. The master bedroom is en-suite and has new French doors that open up to a new cedar deck which takes advantage of the western exposure.

We designed this home with casual and comfortable living in mind. The western exposure, along with the skylights, makes this home bright and cheerful. A great deal of time went into the design details and furnishings. We were influenced by Mid Century Modern design and the furnishings are a mix of new and vintage pieces. You will find original artwork mixed in with prints. The artwork will be rotated out on occasion.

We travel quite a bit and stay in AirBnB properties when we can. With this in mind we tried to include the details we appreciate or would like when preparing a home for guests. Both WIFI and wired Internet access is available. The office provides a workspace with a desk and printer (wireless, print, copy, scan). The great room has a 60 inch smart Samsung TV with surround sound.

The master bedroom sleeps two with a king size bed, the 2nd bedroom sleeps two with a queen size bed, and the 3rd bedroom has sleeps two with 2 twin size beds. The office can be used as a 4th bedroom with a couch that converts to a queen bed along with privacy glass in the door.
We moved to Bainbridge Island 8 years ago from Dallas and have fallen in love with Bainbridge Island. This part of the world has so much beauty and many activities. There is plenty to do on Bainbridge Island with its parks, beaches, restaurants, markets, and shops that you can spend your entire time on the island. But we are a 35 minute ferry ride into Seattle, and our location makes a great jumping off point for the Olympics, San Juan Islands, other amazing sites.

Please note: Our home is family friendly, but it is not childproofed. Cabinets and outlets are not baby-proofed, and we have not attached cabinets to the walls. We have 3 children – 1 teenager & 2 young adults, but remember the days of toddler hazards, so we ask guests insure their young children do not get into trouble.

Guest access
Guest have full access to the house and yard. There is ample parking space in the driveway which will accommodate up to 4 cars. Street parking is not available.

Other things to note
Please note 2 things:

1. We are not on the water. We have a peek-a-boo view of Fletcher Bay from the deck and the master bedroom. There is road-end beach access within walking distance. This is a very small beach (situated between 2 houses on each side of the road). It provides a wonderful view of the Olympic Mountains and a beautiful sunset. However, if you’re looking for a beach to spend the day or spread out with family, you will need to drive to one of the large city owned public beaches such as Fay Bainbridge or Pritchard Park. I provide information on the local beaches (as well as restaurants and other points of interest) along with my house instructions upon check in.

2. We are located in a quiet neighborhood and have quiet hours. Because of the slope of our yard, the back deck is higher than many of the surrounding houses, which causes sound to travel. If you choose to stay here, please observe the quiet hours. If you’re looking for a place to get rowdy with friends, this is not the place for you.
