A Day of Art, History and Bainbridge

at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, A QUAINT COMMUNITY FILLED WITH ART AND WORLD WAR II HISTORY.
A WAC EVENT
Take a ferry ride across Puget Sound and discover Bainbridge Island.  Join the Curator of the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) for a docent tour of the museum’s collection of contemporary regional arts and crafts. Followed by a walk through town, we’ll lunch at Doc’s Marina Grill located waterside with a great view of the harbor. The afternoon takes us to the Japanese American Exclusion Memorial for a powerful docent tour of the historic Eagledale ferry dock landing site, where the first Japanese Americans were shipped to concentration camps during World War II.  Moderate walking.  Ferry fare  not included.
