A new overnight treasure is tucked away on the northeast end of Bainbridge Island in our own little Fay Bainbridge Park. Two darling cabins are nestled in the woods a short little trail hike from the beach. These cabins are pet and family friendly but would lend themselves to a romantic “glamp” by the beach as well. This is a perfect spot to set-up base for an island adventure of hiking, beach combing, wine tasting, or just exploring this amazing island. Especially lovely are the private front viewing porches with sturdy but comfortable Adirondack chairs. Leave the city lights and noise behind, relax in the woods, hike the beach and watch the wildlife but sleep in a warm cozy cabin. “Glamping” at it’s best!

These are beautifully constructed with much of the material used to construct the cabins reclaimed from Williams-Olson Park’s caretaker building after it was recently demolished in order to make space at the park. Each cabin has electricity and heat and will sleep four comfortably. The bunks/beds are comfy but you will need to bring your own bedding. An included tent site is right next to the cabin for the heartiest of your group. Each cabin comes equipped with a picnic table, firepit/grill and outdoor running water. A third, larger cabin and group campsite will be built soon (summer 2018.) Cabins can be rented for up to 10 days.

Booking details can be found here. An outdoor toilet facility is just steps away with showers beachside. Fay Bainbridge is a wonderful campground and much care is taken to keep it beautiful and usable. These darling cabins open up the “camping” experience to a larger audience and offer a great opportunity to enjoy the park in the winter. A recent stay during freezing temperatures is an attest to the winter comfort factor!
