There are many great reasons to visit Bainbridge Island this fall. It’s an easy day-trip from downtown Seattle, the fall colors in our many parks and gardens are beautiful right now, and there are far fewer crowds competing for space in our charming island boutiques and restaurants. If you really need another reason, then let it be wine. With 7 wineries calling Bainbridge Island home, there’s no shortage of great wine flowing around the island. This fall, Bainbridge Island will once again be celebrating locally produced wines during their seasonal Wine on the Rock Weekend. These two great days of wine tasting call for an overnight stay on the Island, and luckily we have plenty of places for you to choose from. The upcoming Wine on the Rock will take place November 10 – 11, 2018, and will be the same delicious 2-day food and wine experience you expect, this time featuring charcuterie pairings. Wine on the Rock will operate from 12 – 5 each day, and tickets include a single entry and wine tasting at each winery, along with a special event wine glass, charcuterie to complement the wine tasting, and a 6 bottle wine tote. November’s Wine on the Rock is exceptionally interesting, as we’re right in the heart of 
winemaking season. Some of the wineries will still have grapes fermenting, and this is the perfect chance to meet with the winemakers, who will be at their wineries pouring or making wine.
The Bainbridge Island Lodging Association has partnered with the Wine on the Rock event to provide lodging and a special deal for guests. To take advantage of this package, you’ll need to book a two or more night getaway with one of our participating lodging properties. In addition to lodging, you’ll receive a complimentary bottle of wine from one of Bainbridge Island’s award winning wineries upon check-in, and a $5 discount on Wine on the Rock tickets. Some lodging properties are also offering special discounted rates for the weekend special. Please inquire with properties directly.
