The space
The cottage is a 458-square foot 1-bedroom cottage with a 3/4 bath, living room, dining nook, and fully-equipped kitchen. The bed is a double bed (AKA a “full,” which is smaller than a queen) due to room size. A double sofa bed is also available. Enjoy fresh-brewed Pacific Northwest coffee every morning as you watch the eagles soar over the Bay, then go for a walk along Manitou Beach, just a 2 minute stroll down the hill. Head to island favorite Bay Hay & Feed for morning coffee, pastries and conversation, just 1/2 mike away, and while you’re there check out their amazing plants, garden supplies, and general store.
The Northwest is meant to be moist, so if it’s raining you can hole up in the cottage with board games or a movie, but if you’re adventurous (or you come in the summer, and it’s gorgeous) grab a complimentary umbrella and head out to explore all the island has to offer. The Bloedel Reserve or Bainbridge Gardens will delight with their botanical wonders. Sample some of our seven island wineries or spend the day checking out the art galleries and shops along Winslow Way. At night meet up with friends at one of the island pubs, enjoy a movie at one of the two island cinemas, or hit the blackjack table or dance floor at nearby Suquamish Clearwater Casino, just across the Agate Pass Bridge connecting the island to the Kitsap Peninsula.

We live in the house next door to the cottage. It’s nearby but when you’re at the cottage it feels like you’re very much in your own private space.
– Beautiful view of Mt. Rainier & the water
– Lots of sun
– SO close to the beach – just a couple of minute’s walk. Nice beach combing.
– Great spot for walking/running/biking
– Just 1/2 mile walk to Bay Hay & Feed & to Rolling Bay Cafe (excellent cup of coffee).
– Close to the ferry and downtown Winslow Way with all its amenities.
The house is a 3-mile drive or cab ride from the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry.
