Country View Cottage- A Forest and Farm Retreat
Nestled in the forest and surrounded by magical gardens, soak in the beauty and tranquility of this island retreat. Located next to woodland trails that surround Nute’s Pond and just a 15-minute walk to Fort Ward Park you have access to beaches and many forest trails. On our 2.5 acres, we host a community farm and when available you can request fresh fruit and vegetables for your stay. If possible, we are also happy to give you a tour of our farm and garden.
The space
Our spacious and private guest apartment is located above our detached garage and adjacent to our family’s home. We have radiant floor heat that keeps you cozy and warm in the winter and large windows that offer fresh air in the summer. We have a well-stocked kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. Burr grinder, coffee for drip, French press, or Espresso and herbal, green and black tea is supplied along with basic condiments (salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, butter, mustard, catsup and jam). There is one bedroom with a full-size bed and upon request, a sleeping nook where an additional full-size bed can be set up for a total of 4 guests.

As owners of the Dayaalu Center, a yoga and wellness facility on the island, we offer special discounts and packages for our guests. The combination of our serene setting and access to wellness experiences is a perfect way to relax and rejuvenate!
