    Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District manages two pools, Ray Williamson Pool and Don Nakata Pool, both housed at the Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center. The District strives to meet the needs of the community by offering a variety of programs and services. Such services include swim lessons for youth & adults, youth swim team, adult swim team, lap swimming, leisure swimming and a variety of innovative aquatic fitness classes that cater to all ability levels. Join them and explore all that the aquatic center has to offer!

    The Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation (BIPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to enhancing community by improving the Island’s parks and recreational facilities and to expanding recreational opportunities on Bainbridge Island.

    Hybrid Bikes 2 hours (minimum) $25 3 to 7 hours $35 Overnight $45 2 day rental $ 60 3 day rental $ 80 Weekly rental $ 150 Electric Bikes $25 a hour with a 2 hour minimum or $65 per day Limited availability, reservation advised Youth and childrens bikes We have some availability on 20 inch and 24 inch wheel bicycles. We also keep a trail-a-bike, baby seats and 2 child trailer in the fleet.  Its best to call ahead for info and availability. Road Bikes 1 Day $75 2 days $135 Weekly rental $300 Road bikes come with standard toe clip and strap but you are welcome to bring your own peddles and shoes Helmets, Locks, and racks included Useful information about cycling on Bainbridge Bainbridge is a wonderful place to bicycle, but everywhere you ride on Bainbridge you will encounter a hill.  We can suggest a route that is not as hilly but there will always be a hill.  There are few bicycle paths so you will be riding mostly with traffic.  You need to be able to ride a multi-speed bike as all our bikes are 20, 21 or 24 speeds.

    Fay Bainbridge Park is a 17-acre marine camping park with 1,420 feet of saltwater shoreline on the northeast corner of Bainbridge Island. The park offers sweeping views of Puget Sound, the Cascade Mountains and features sandy beaches. On clear days, Mount Rainier and Mount Baker are visible from a sandy beach. Due to seasonal high water conditions, restrooms may be closed intermittently throughout the winter. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We envision a community-based food system on Bainbridge Island where: As much food as possible is grown, produced, processed, sold, and consumed locally Nutritious, fresh, local food is accessible and affordable to everyone Farms and related businesses are economically profitable for this and the next generation Food is grown and produced using environmentally beneficial agriculture and clean aquaculture Money stays on the island all across the supply and distribution chain What and how we eat is integrated in our culture We work to create system-level change for long-term impact through: Permanent protection of the existing and potential agricultural land base Affordable housing and farmable land for the agricultural community Public and private investment in infrastructure and commercial services Committed and empowered local government, food-related businesses, and institutions Informed food citizens through a multi-disciplinary approach to food studies for children and adults Connecting human health with a farm-driven diet to grow a healthy population Experimentation, innovation, and education to attract the best and brightest of the next generation of farmers and food producers
