Making a great beer requires a combination of art and science. Science, in knowing what the gear and ingredients can do. Art, in imagining what beer can be. Whether it’s excellent versions of classic styles, or boundary pushing experimental brews, Bainbridge Brewing blends the art and science of beer. Craft beer is also a social beverage and the Taproom and Alehouse are part of our culture here in the Northwest. The local brewery is part of the fabric of the community, giving it character, individuality, and indeed, an air of hometown pride. Bainbridge Brewing is the island’s brewery, and the island is as much a part of us as we are of it.

Bainbridge Island Blueberry Co. is located on a sunny ridge above Rolling Bay on a 100 year old heritage farm formerly owned by the Wilson family for generations (Old Island Holly Farm). The Wilson’s planted the two acres of blueberry fields in 2008 and opened for berries in 2009. While they loved the farm it was time for new pastures and we bought the farm in September of 2011. With encouragement from friends and family we very are excited to be a farming family. The community at-large has been so supportive of our efforts to continue the traditions of local farming on Bainbridge Island and we are looking forward to seeing previous customers, our friends and meeting new ones who come to visit. The farm provides U-pick blueberries, U-cut dahlias, pre-packed pints/flats blueberries (when available or by arrangement), flower bouquets and some seasonal produce during our open season.

    Bainbridge Organic Distillers
    Commercial Business;  Food / Drink
Bainbridge Organic Distillers was founded as a family business in 2009, and since the beginning we perform every task in the making of distilled spirits on site, and with our own hands. From the selection of grain varieties and lots, to grinding, mashing, fermenting and distillation we are hands-on at every stage in the small-batch spirits production process. Bainbridge Organic Distillers was Washington State's first distillery producing USDA Certified Organic spirits, and we are the state's only distillery producing 100% of its organic spirits from scratch, on site in our own distillery. We are very proud to have launched the state's first organic vodkas, whiskey and gin. We favor working with other local, family-owned companies, and we strive to make sure that every step in our process is as environmentally neutral as possible and is sustainably and responsibly managed. We founded this distillery with the belief that being small is an advantage, and with a dedication to complete transparency in our process, our ingredients and our business practices. We are proud to be independent, and independently minded. We are dedicated to the rule that if we can't do something the right way, and if we wouldn't be happy sharing what we do with fellow enthusiasts, we won't do it at all.

  • Bruciato
    Bruciato
    Commercial Business;  Food / Drink
We are disciples of the Napolitano school of pizza cookery. There are rules: Type “00” flour, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, hand-stretched dough, and a very hot wood-burning oven. Cooking simple foods exposes flaws - a perfect pie is a life-long pursuit. We start with our own meats; classic Italian salumi, cured lovingly for months, right here. We recall our travels through Campania, where we sourced the most authentic basic ingredients and imported them directly to Seattle. Finally, we craft our pie: a three-day fermentation for the masa, a pronounced cornicione, perfectly bruciato, and raced to the table uncut and piping hot. In Naples, pizza is life. We humbly follow the proud pizzaioli down the rabbit hole in our search for perfection.
  • Burgerhaus
    Burgerhaus
    Food / Drink
SACKA-BURGERS HAS FOUND A HOME… Burgerhaus is open and they invite you to experience the burger joint that Bainbridge Island deserves. About those burgers: 21 day dry-aged grass-fed beef from right here in Washington. Bacon they cure and smoke in-house. Burgers you’d expect from Hitchcock: lamb, elk, or wagyu beef upgrades with wild mushrooms, boutique cheeses, and house-made buns. And for their vegan friends, they created an entirely plant-based set, from the patties to the sauces, that is so delicious and guilt-free we just might convert some carnivores. But that’s not all! They are a full-service joint offering burgers, chicken and fish sandwiches, fries, salads, craft sodas, floats & shakes (with booze too!) alongside beers on tap and bottles, custom cocktails and wines. If you’re more comfortable dining outside, we’ve got you covered in the biergarten! Bring your jacket/blanket and imagine you’re in the alps (or at least Leavenworth) as you cheers steins of craft beers and eat piping hot burgers and fries. Or warm up with their selection of schnapps and herbal liqueurs. If you’re more comfortable taking out, they've still got you! Order and pay online for no-contact service; just duck in the front door and grab your sack from the takeout table. They will keep you safe and your bellies happy. Burgerhaus is brought to you by Manager Meghan DeBruyn, Chef de Cuisine Grant Rico, Culinary Director Paul Mancebo, Project Manager Chelsea Sahleen, and Chef/Owner Brendan McGill.

There’s an island in the middle of the Puget Sound that you simply must visit. Begin your journey with a short 35-minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle’s Coleman Dock. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.  Before you know it you’ll be pulling into the picturesque Eagle Harbor, ready to embark on a new adventure. Island charm isn’t just a catchphrase; it’s our reality. Bainbridge offers the perfect blend of rural, small town charm, an abundance of year-round recreation, and the big city amenities you crave. From the moment your journey begins, you’ll enjoy picture perfect views.  Like much of the Pacific Northwest, our island is bathed in natural beauty.  On sunny days, the towering peaks of Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, and the rugged Olympic Mountains make frequent appearances.  It’s the perfect place to spend a day, a week, or more.  We aren’t just a rural island with pretty views, though. Bainbridge Island is home to seven artisanal wineries, a micro-brewery, an award-winning organic distillery, a vibrant and historic downtown, plenty of parks and green spaces, a world-class art museum, and exceptional restaurants.

  • Eagle Harbor Wine Co.
    Eagle Harbor Wine Co.
    Commercial Business;  Food / Drink
Established in 2005 by by Cynthia and Hugh Remash, Eagle Harbor Wine Company is a standout among Bainbridge Island’s celebrated wineries. What began as a hands-on artisanal endeavor, primarily influenced by old world wine styles, Eagle Harbor Wine Co. has grown since in size (aiming for an ambitious 2,000 cases per year), complexity, and variety. In 2009, Emily Parsons, who had a well-tended passion and curiosity for wine, began working alongside Remash after enjoying one of his wines. Participating in punch downs and crushes, immersing herself in the process and the winemaking business, Parsons continued her education studying wine and winemaking at UC Davis. Then in 2012, inspired by the wine, an entrepreneurial spirit, and full support from fellow enthusiast and husband Steve Trimble, Parsons became an investor in the winery, purchasing seven tons of grapes. Two years later in 2014, impressed by her passion and dedication, Remash saw fit to pass the torch – and his legacy – to his devoted protégé who runs all facets of the business today while Remash remains in the role of consulting winemaker. Parsons is wholly committed to the Bainbridge community, making superb quality, delicious wine, and honoring and furthering winemaking in Washington State. We also have a downtown tasting room: 278 Winslow Way,Bainbridge Island WA 98110
  • Eleven Winery
    Eleven Winery
    Commercial Business;  Food / Drink
Eleven Winery is dedicated to producing great wine, and to making sure that you have a great time drinking it. Anyone who tells you that wine tasting is serious business or makes you feel bad about your level of wine knowledge is just plain missing the point - and we'll be more than happy to straighten them out for you. We'll also be happy to answer all of your questions about wine so that you can hold your own in party conversation with the snobbiest wine geek. We don't believe in dumbing down our wines for novice tasters – we believe that everyone can enjoy a great wine and that the better the wine, the more fun you'll have. Our production focuses on somewhat offbeat varieties, including Malbec, Syrah, Mourvedre, Petit Verdot, Pinot Grigio, Roussanne, Viognier, and a few others. We make a dry rosé, as well as both white and red dessert wines (about 3500 cases altogether). Our cutting-edge winemaking processes are risky, dangerous, and often painful, but the wine is worth it - ok, it's not actually all that risky or dangerous, and it is far more traditional than it is modern, but it is challenging and exciting, and we're thrilled to be able to share the results with you.

  • Finn River Cider
    Finn River Cider
    Food / Drink
The Finnriver crew farms and ferments in the Chimacum Valley, in organic fields and orchards located along a salmon stream on the north Olympic Peninsula of Washington, the traditional and contemporary territories of the S’Klallam (Nəxʷsƛ̕áy̕əm̕) and the Chemakum (Aqokúlo or Čə́məq̓əm). While our farm is remote, we're honored to be on the forefront of the Pacific Northwest hard cider revival and to craft ciders that both recognize historic hard cider traditions and offer fresh perspectives on the possibilities of the fermented apple. We grow and source organic and seasonal ingredients to help grow a vibrant regional community food system. Over the 15 years since we started farming in this community, multiple branches of the Finnriver family tree have grown into distinct farm enterprises.  Finnriver Farms grows organic fruit and veggies, offered through local CSAs and farmers markets.  Finnriver Cidery grows, sources and ferments organic apples into a line of farmcrafted hard ciders and fruit wines.  And Finnriver Grainery grows and mills organic flours. Our mission is to celebrate the beauty and bounty of the earth, to reconnect people to the land that sustains us and to grow community! We seek to create deep-rooted and fruitful connections at our farm-based gathering space and our Cider Garden is (usually) open daily, year-round with cider on draft, guided cider tastings, seasonal orchard tours, live music, local food and seasonal events and celebrations. Finnriver Farm is Certified Organic and Salmon Safe and a Certified B Corporation, seeking ways to make business a force for good.
